A lovely family activity

We bought this for our four year old because he enjoys picture books and learning new words. He was immediately interested in the dinosaur shape, and we've been going through little groups of cards together most afternoons. The sound effects make him laugh and the recording feature has become a favourite with his big sister too. We do have to keep the cards organized, but overall it's been a fun addition to our usual learning games.

The recording makes it different

Plenty of toys can say words, but hearing their own voices played back is what really interests my children.

A little bit of everything

Words, sounds, picture cards, a voice recorder and stickers. Quite a lot packed into one learning set.

She was so excited to show me how the dinosaur works. I think I heard the same animal sound about twenty times during our visit 😂

Our morning word game

We usually pick a few cards after breakfast before getting ready for preschool. Nothing formal, just a little activity that my daughter looks forward to.

She gets to decide which pictures we explore each time. Sometimes it's colours, sometimes food and sometimes only animals.

Nice for our Alberta winters

We have plenty of long indoor afternoons when it's too cold to spend much time outside. The talking cards have been a fun addition to our activity cupboard.

Not a substitute for conversation

We still spend plenty of time talking, reading and playing together. This just gives us another fun little activity to share.

The picture variety is nice

I like that it includes everyday objects rather than focusing on just one subject.

We keep a few cards in rotation

Rather than putting all 84 out, we choose a small group for the week. Keeps the table from becoming a complete mess.

Our snowy Sunday
